Departing the west coast Shipwrecks on sunset enjoy
an evening swim in Blue lagoon, or walk the deserted surf
beach before settling into your campsite or beach cabin. Dinner
is served with salads, fruits and cold drinks as well as complimentary
wine to sip by the campfire. After dinner you can take a guided
starlight tour of the galaxy, try a moonlit beach walk, go
for a daring night swim or relax and prepare for tomorrows
island adventure.
Spend the early morning enjoying a tropical breakfast with
tea and coffee overlooking the delightful eastern beach. Take
a relaxing swim at the lake before traveling along the beach
highway for sand tobogganing action. Exhilarating and fun
for all ages, sand tobogganing is sure to make your Moreton
experience a memorable one. Even if you are not the adventurous
type, the views from Moretons sand hills are breathtaking.
Morning Tea served with cold drinks before returning to the
beach, for a swim or snorkel at the famous Tangalooma shipwrecks.
This set of 12 shipwrecks has been voted “one of the
10 best wreck snorkels in Australia.” Snorkel or swim
among topical fish and if you are lucky you might even spot
dugong, dolphins and turtles. Enjoy the afternoon with time
to relax before departing on the sunset ferry to Brisbane.

Following on from the 1 and 2 day tour
After snorkeling Tangalooma wrecks, the afternoon is yours
to relax, fish, swim at the lake or beach before returning
to camp for evening drinks around open fire. Try some of the
native foods and clams collected fresh from the cleanest beaches
just outside your campsite. Enjoy a great evening meal before
being night stargaze.
Enjoy a fresh Breakfast before traveling south along the beach
with a packed picnic lunch. The third day is designed so that
you can enjoy Moreton Island at your own pace, sunbake on
the beach, fish the western beach, relax around the campsite
or swim Blue Lagoon. You are in paradise, enjoy your time
living the tropical Island life.
You have the opportunity to bush walk up Mt Tempest –
the highest sand dune in the world standing 278 metres above
sea level. Traveling up a bushy sand track you can take in
the views of the island, Brisbane city, and sister Island
North Stradebroke. Breathtaking views and a real sense of
achievement greet you once you reach the top of the mountain.
After another tropical lunch, you 4WD to the southern wetland
eelgrass fields where dugong and Turtle reside and the protected
bird rookeries, where migratory waders can be seen. See remains
of ancient Aboriginal midden sights and campfire areas that
are explained by your experienced guide. Travel to the west
coast for one last swim or sunbake on the west coast before
you board the sea ferry and return to Brisbane in the early
evening.
